My printer is plugged into my Time Capsule and is still available and completely functional to/for my other computers. Any suggestions for fixing the problem? Anywhere I can manually select the driver file or somehow fix the install process? I'm pulling my hair out.įWIW: this was working fine before my reinstall. I also can't manually locate a driver on my drive. I still cannot auto-install the printer, and I still don't see the printer driver on the list. Through my browser, I have manually downloaded the latest install package and ran the installer (in Finder, just like I would any software), but this still doesn't change/fix the problem. When I attempt to pick a/the driver from the list of available drivers, there is not a Dell driver available in the list. However, when I select it, I receive a message indicating that the driver can't be found/auto-installed. When I go to the Add New Printer screen, the Dell c1660w printer does appear properly on the list of available nearby printers. I currently do not have any installed printers. I'm having trouble (re)adding my c1660w printer to my available print list.
I recently did a clean reinstall of Yosemite on my Macbook Pro.
